Nepal Electricity Authority has announced the load shedding hours to be reduced  to 5 hours a day. The new load shedding schedule is said to be effective from Wednesday- Ashar 19, 2070 (July 3, 2013). As more electricity is produced from the hydropower plants, NEA is able to reduce the power cut hours. 

According to NEA, the total electricity production is 700 Megawatt which falls short of 300 Mega watt for the total demand.
